Self-Deliverance Prayer: 9 Steps to Freedom from Demons (Evil Spirits)

Spiritual Warfare Self-Deliverance Prayer

Are you tired of the torment that demons cause and the lack of peace in your life? Ready to claim your deliverance in prayer? Follow these steps and say the self-deliverance prayer below to be set free!

This self-deliverance prayer comes from the biblically-based deliverance handbook, “They Shall Expel Demons,” by Dr. Derek Prince, a great man of God.

What is a Deliverance Prayer?

Jesus died on the cross, shed his blood as a sacrifice for us, and overcame the power of the enemy (Satan and his demons). He gives us His power over the enemy, and as a follower of Jesus, we have authority over demons in His name.

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19

A deliverance prayer applies Jesus’ power over evil spirits, through a believer, to cast out demons and take away their rights in a person’s life.

A self-deliverance prayer is said by the person who needs freedom from demonic activity or harassment without a deliverance minister present.

Why would someone want to cast demons out/off of themselves? Often, a deliverance ministry isn’t available locally, and it’s the only option. Other times, a person may prefer the privacy of getting rid of the demons themselves.

A faithful family member or friend can still be present during a self-deliverance and assist in prayer if desired.

Become Born Again and Filled With the Holy Spirit

Self-Deliverance Prayer: 9 Steps to Freedom!

Do not be in a hurry. Go through the prayer slowly and deliberately. Personalize the prayer by filling in the parts colored green and speaking them aloud.

Step 1: Personally affirm your faith in Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus Christ, I believe you are the Son of God and the only way to God – that You died on the cross for my sins and rose again so that I might be forgiven and receive eternal life.

Step 2: Humble yourself.

I renounce all pride, religious self-righteousness, and any dignity that does not come from You. I have no claim on Your mercy except that You died in my place.

Step 3: Confess any known sin.

I confess all my sins before You and hold nothing back. Especially I confess…

(Say out loud any sins that come to your mind. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring anything to your remembrance that you need to confess.)

Step 4: Repent of all sins.

I repent of all my sins. I turn away from them, and I turn to You, Lord, for mercy and forgiveness.

Step 5: Forgive all other people.

By a decision of my will, I freely forgive all who have ever harmed or wronged me. I lay down all bitterness, all resentment, and all hatred. Specifically, I forgive…

(Say out loud any people that come to your mind. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you and bring to mind anyone you’ve forgotten.)

Step 6: Break with the occult and all false religion.

I sever all contact I have ever had with the occult or with all false religion – particularly…

(List out loud any activity or connections you’ve ever had with the occult or false religion.)

I commit myself to get rid of all objects associated with the occult or false religion.

Step 7: Prepare to be released from every curse over your life.

Lord Jesus, I thank You that You were made a curse on the cross, that I might be redeemed from every curse and inherit God’s blessing. On that basis, I ask You to release me and set me free to receive the deliverance I need.

Step 8: Take your stand with God.

“In the name of Jesus, I take my stand with You, Lord Jesus, against all Satan’s demons. I submit to You, Lord, and I resist the devil. Amen!”

Step 9: Expel the demons!

Now I speak to any demons that have control over me. (Speak directly to them, name them if you can.) I command you to go from me now. In the name of Jesus, I expel you! I am not in agreement with you; you have no rights here.

Praise and Thank God!

Each time you experience a release while saying this self-deliverance prayer, praise and thank God for it. Not only is it the purest expression of faith, but demons hate the praises of God and will find that kind of atmosphere intolerable.

How to Keep Your Deliverance

After the self-deliverance prayer, be diligent about not allowing the evil spirits to get a foothold again. The Bible says that once a demon has gone out of a man/woman, he will wander around in dry places and then come back to the house he was in. If he finds it clean and swept but empty, he will come back in and bring other demons with him (seven times worse)!

“Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came’; and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order.
Then it goes and takes along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there; and the last state of that man becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation.” Matthew 12:43-45

We need to rebuild our walls, shut our doors tight, and keep our house filled. The key is to keep your clean and swept “house” filled with the Holy Spirit and the things of God while wearing and using your spiritual armor!

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints…” Ephesians 6:10-18

that can help you discern-
to know voices in your head are not always
there as your friend.
We also have the highly Holy anointed warrior angels to fight
at your side-Once you are a true Child of God–
Jesus Christ will be faithful to the end of time.

WHERE IN THE BIBLE?

Where in the Bible does it say-that Christmas is Jesus Christ’s birthday?
Where did Santa Claus come from?
Isn’t it worshipping the evil one?
You know Satan wants to be like God the Most High
That is why he has a sled and flies through the sky.
Where did we get “Decorate a Christmas tree?”
And give gifts to each other, you and me?
Where did we get Rudolph and Santa’s reindeer?
Or “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” who had some bad years?
See all of this was made up by man-
and of course the enemy of our soul understand?
Look at all the images of the cross all in Babylon-
ancient civilizations from times lost.
Thousands years before Jesus was born in the Holy Land
Satan had his version of mother with her child in hand.
So why don’t we celebrate God’s Holy Spirit and the cross like at Pentecost?
The Holy Spirit should be praised for He’s God’s Spirit that saves.

CHURCHES OF TODAY

The churches of today preach anything goes…
like it’s OK to see your dead relatives
before you die,
I ask you a question,
“How and why?”
What people are seeing is not a relative
but a fallen angel under disguise–
Why don’t churches preach the absolute Truth and realize–
God said in His Anointed Word–
It is appointed for man to live once
before you get to hell or hopefully Heaven…

27 Just as man is appointed to die once,
after that to face judgment.
Churches of today
are more of a business leading people astray.
“I need your donations for our end year goals”
Why are they not saying
“Let me pray for your souls?”
or say to their congregations–
“Our church will preach the True Gospel
and get you ready for Jesus’ return.”
You have to be able to discern
to see wolves in sheep’s clothing on earth.
So in the end these pastors will see—
they will pay in hell for eternity.

A VISION OF HELL

I had a vision, before I woke up from a dream
I thought it was interesting but I did listen.
I saw my two familiar spirits of mine dressed in black-
they were talking to the king of darkness with small wings on his back.
They said to him as he sat on his throne-
“She is a threat to us on earth.”
in a serious tone.
Then the angel of darkness pounded
down his cup-
and said,
“I want all souls dead, ! ! ! “
I thought wow!
‘This is dread! ‘
Thank you Jesus for letting me see,
I know hell is as real, as real as can be-
We have to be serious about our very lives!
Our next life we have to more than survive-
we have to have eternal life.
Your life is more than the color of your skin

God is reaching for you! The Father is speaking to His creation. He sees and smells our sin which is reaching up to heaven. He is asking that we humble ourselves and repent now. God is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Churches have not preached about the Father in the Old Testament. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. His spiritual laws do not change.

Deuteronomy 30:15-20(NIV)

¹⁵See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. ¹⁶For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.

We are judged by His spiritual laws. We are more in the supernatural than the physical. Our soul is our emotions, thoughts, heart and will. We have a spirit. We need the Holy Spirit in our spirit to get to heaven.

We need to obey God and His Word to have eternal life. Your next life which is in the spiritual realm is for eternity. There is no time in the spirit realm. Choose now where you want to spend eternity. In the land of the living – heaven or the land of the dead-hell. No free will after you die to make that choice to go to Jesus to ask for forgiveness of your sins.

JESUS died for every color of person, every nation, for every sinner on ONE CROSS. Everything that Jesus that died for on the cross is done. We need to take our authority in Jesus Christ once we first confess our sins to Him to become a child of God.

pray for our country the U.S.of A.
We need to pray together so God
hears our voice-
We need to confess our sin
we have no choice.
For as a nation we have murdered-
stolen and deceived-
I’m sad to say
we have deeply grieved.
God who knows everything
He does see- –
That’s why the ones
who are called by His name
that have to be the ones
for sure to pray.
For if you are a true Christian
and was saved by grace-
What more are you if
you don’t pray with faith?
For even when I was a pagan
I did pray-
God did hear me-
He saved my life I do say.
God and His commandments
which our country was found on
to this day-
Since that time
on April 30th 1789-
We have walked away from
the divine-The divine and holiness of God who is true

He examines your heart within you.

God says I AM going to take you to the place where I called you to be. God is not going to show you what is going to happen in the middle of your life–(being blacksheep etc.) only the end. You have experience of life that God has mapped out to get you are where you are going in His name.
